Yangshuo to Liuzhou: Scenic Drive Guide

The drive from Yangshuo to Liuzhou follows the G65 Baomao Expressway for roughly 190 kilometers, a route that cuts through the heart of Guangxi's karst landscape. Carved by centuries of erosion, the towering limestone peaks here are part of the South China Karst, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that also includes Liuzhou's own karst landmarks.

For families, the Yulong River bridge at Baisha offers a safe place to stretch legs and watch bamboo rafts. Most service areas have kids' play zones and clean feeding rooms, making pit stops straightforward.

If you're traveling with your dog, the expressway does not allow pets at rest stops—plan to take a village exit where leash-walking is feasible. For fatigue management, commit to at least one break every hour; the Liuzhou rest area at kilometer marker 58 has shaded picnic tables and coffee kiosks.
