Show Low to Tonopah: Desert Road Trip Guide

From Show Low, take AZ-260 west to Heber-Overgaard, then connect to AZ-87 north to Winslow, and join I-40 west. However, a faster alternative: AZ-260 west to Camp Verde, then I-17 north to Flagstaff. From Flagstaff, I-40 west to Kingman, then US-93 north to Las Vegas, and finally US-95 northwest to Tonopah. Note: the route via I-40 is well-maintained and mostly four-lane, but the section from Kingman to Tonopah is two-lane with limited services.
