Infrastructure Safety & Road Quality: CA-154 has tight curves and limited shoulders; drive 45-55 mph. I-5 near the Grapevine can have heavy fog (tule fog) in winter; use low beams and reduce speed. CA-4 east of Angels Camp is a narrow two-lane road with sharp turns. Overall road quality is good, with recent paving on most sections.
