Starting from the Putuo District of Zhoushan, you'll likely take the G9211 Yongzhou Expressway and cross the Zhoushan Islands. The route to Sanming covers about 450 kilometers, but you can save time with the G15 Shenhai Expressway. This drive takes you from coastal flatlands to the mountainous interior of Fujian, where the elevation rises sharply after Nanping.
