Ouray to Jerome: Epic Southwest Road Trip Guide

This route traverses the Colorado Plateau, dropping from 7,800 feet in Ouray to 5,000 feet in Jerome, crossing the Continental Divide at Molas Pass (10,970 ft). The driving distance is approximately 500 miles, taking about 8-10 hours without stops. US-550, known as the Million Dollar Highway, is the first major segment.
