Kampong Thom to Suong Driving Guide: Stops & Routes

Leaving Kampong Thom, you pass the ancient capital of Isanapura on National Road 6, which has been a trading artery since the 7th century. The route to Suong (about 100 km) takes you through the heart of Cambodia's central plains.

The two-lane National Road 6 is mostly smooth asphalt but narrows through villages. Plan for an average speed of 50 km/h due to motorbikes and oxcarts.
