Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum

Peridot Mesa
This dormant volcanic remnant on the San Carlos Apache Reservation gives the gemstone peridot its local fame and puts on big wildflower displays in spring. A tribal recreation permit is required, and only tribal members may collect peridot.
Governor Aker Observatory
